The project involved the complete renovation of two offices, created by combining two adjacent apartments located within a historic building. From the outset, the goal was to restore coherence, elegance, and architectural value to the spaces by removing all the alterations accumulated over time that had compromised the original harmony of the environments. The design approach prioritized the preservation and enhancement of existing elements, avoiding overly invasive or altering interventions. The original floors were carefully restored, including the parquet and vintage cement tiles, which became key features of the new spatial identity. The parquet was sanded and brought back to its original splendor, while the cement tiles dictated the color palette chosen for the walls and furnishings, allowing for perfect visual and stylistic continuity.

Particular attention was given to the choice of colors, a key element in the dialogue between old and new. Neutral and sophisticated tones were paired with shades of green, which subtly and elegantly reference the original cement tile patterns. This same green was also used in the bathrooms, where it serves as the sole distinctive decorative element, creating spaces that are simple yet elegant, perfectly suited to the function of the rooms as professional offices.

The result is a project that balances respect for the existing structure with contemporary functionality, able to enhance the building’s history without sacrificing practical, understated, and aesthetically coherent solutions. The renovated offices offer welcoming, bright, and professional environments where a harmony between tradition and modernity can be felt designed to stand the test of time.
